Themba is a movement started with a prayer to see what humanity could look like if we loved each other as Jesus would.  While we recognize that the name of Jesus sometimes divides and ostracizes people, we believe Jesus represents all that we could hope to be: sacrificial, humble, loving, just, an advocate for the voiceless and cast aside of society. We hope that through our lives people will see Jesus, and be drawn to the work we’ve set out to do.  But more importantly, our hope is for people to experience Jesus themselves.  Because ultimately, only God will bring about the kind of change we need in this world.  We can only hope to be the thread God uses in the knitting together of our lives.
