Our philosophy for community is simple: we can only understand the needs and hopes of a community by being a part of it.  Thus, we at Themba International engage in community houses whereby our volunteers live together in a communal space and share life with their neighbors.  In the hope of living in unity with the cast aside of society, there is simply no substitute for consistent, lasting relationships fostered in close proximity.  We believe wholeheartedly in the power of a small group of people committed to each other and the love of one’s neighbor.  To read more about what’s happening in our neighborhoods and other thoughts on community, visit our blog here.
